DANCES - SOUTHEASTERN
Halay is probably the
most well known and most often danced of the traditional dances. It
originates from Southeastern Turkey.
The Halay is a circle dance. The actually different types of
Halay dances vary greatly depending on which city they originate from.
The basic Halay is danced all over, but then there are ones such as
Deliloy from Bingöl, Üç Ayak form Adıyaman, and Dokuzlu from Gaziantep.
