Türkiye Fund's Batman Girls Dormitory Project.
- Kardelen made a donation to the Haiti
Relief Efforts of Doctors without Borders.
- Kardelen made a donation to the St.
Baldrick's Foundation via Pinar Polat's participation.
- Kardelen made a donation to the McKallie's
Home of Future and Hope.
- Kardelen made donation to
Malatya Muhittin Ozmumcu Elementary School in March 2008. The donation
was used by the folk dance team of the school towards the trip expenses
in order them to attend the region finals. They came first in the
competition and now they are getting ready for nationals.
- Kardelen supported Zambia
Orphans of AIDS and Children's Hospital
Foundation of Washington, DC through The World Bank Group
E-give Community Connections Campaign once again in January 2008.
- Kardelen made a donation to the Anne Cocuk
Egitim Vakfi (ACEV) and the donation was matched 100% by Turkish
Coalition of America in November 2007.
- Kardelen supported the Bridge To
Türkiye Fund to provide Bayram Boots/Coat/Backpack to
children in the villages of Anatolia in October 2007.
- Kardelen sponsored
Gönen Sarıköy Atatürk Elementary School Roof Renovation
Project in August 2007.
- Kardelen sponsored the
International Women's Day Event on March 8, 2007
jointly with the Arts4Development and the GWU Turkish Student
association, which included a panel discussion and a photo exhibit at
Marvin Center, George Washington University.
- Kardelen supported Bursa Gunyuzu
Women Shelter and Urfa Women’s Center through for Women by Women
initiative on April 20, 2006, and March 8, 2007.
- Kardelen supported Zambia

E-give Community Connections Campaign.
- Kardelen supported Bridge To
Türkiye Fund
and Ilkyar, an ODTU based Foundation, to provide a pair of winter
boots, socks and candies to children in the villages of Anatolia.
- Trick-or-Treat for UNICEFrecognized
Kardelen as one of its Virginia Ambassadors for raising funds for its
projects.
- Kardelen has sponsored its first
project. It has contributed to the Dibekdüzü Elementary School in the
Turkish province of Sanliurfa through Friends of Anatolia,
and nonprofit organization working to improve the Turkish education
system and the nonprofits.
- Kardelen has contributed to Safe
Passage/Proyecto Camino Seguro, a non-profit organization
founded to provide an education to children of families living at the
Guatemala City garbage dump. Children 7 to 13 years old are provided
with their school enrollment, uniforms, books and there school supplies
as required by the public schools. More info
- Kardelen has also sponsored
another project through the Friends of Anatolia.
It has contributed to the Sarikoy Elementary School in the Turkish
province of Mardin.
- Kardelen has contributed to 4Kali,
a charitable foundation who is helping the people of Khao Lak,
Thailand, some of the hardest hit victims of the Tsunami, by raising
funds to assist them in rebuilding their broken lives.
- Kardelen organized and sponsored
GIVE TO SAVE,
a fundraiser for victims of the South Asian Earthquake and raised
$5,600 for the earthquake survivors in Pakistan. There was exciting
performances by local cultural dance troupes, delicious food from
various countries, a silent auction with terrific prizes available, and
much more.
- Kardelen, co-sponsored For
Women(FWBW) By Women Photo Exhibit at the Warehouse Gallery
in downtown DC in April 2006. More than $1,400 was raised for House of
Life, A shelter for women who suffer from domestic violence in the city
of Urfa, in Turkey. FWBW is an initiative founded by an independent
group of professional and amateur female photographers who came
together to help create a change in the status of underprivileged women
in Turkey by creating awareness about the issues of violence against
women, foster positive change in the lives of women at risk, and help
provide funding for women's organizations and shelters.
